As we all know, breast ultrasound and mammography go hand in hand in detecting, diagnosing, and assessing breast cancer and all sorts of breast lesions. This webinar will help you understand the correlation between these two imaging modalities by going through breast anatomy and its appearance on radiographic images, as well as methods of breast imaging in each of them. By the end of the course, a case study will be presented to help in applying this in your daily practice.
- Identify the medial or lateral side of the CC view
- Identify the superior or inferior side of the MLO view
- Identify the central (subareolar region) of both views
- Define PNL
- Understand mammographic vocabulary
- Understand triangulation in mammography
- Understand the correlation between distance from the nipple and posterior depth
- Understand how to read a 3D exam and identify medial, lateral, superior, and inferior in both views
- Communicate findings with the radiologist using BI-RADS terminology
