Accreditations & Credentials

Being an approved continuing education provider, we cater a wide variety of accredited training materials for radiologic technologists, radiographers and sonographers. We have compiled the following information on accreditation and acquiring credentials to aid in understanding the accreditation process.
Our goal is to simplify the complexities involved and provide clear concise insights into the requirements and relationships between the various accrediting bodies.

ACCREDITATIONS

ASRT®
All our courses are approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT®) for category A or A+ CE credits. Each course has a key features tab that thoroughly explains the number of CE credits offered, the category of the credits (whether it was A or A+), and a CQR distribution of subjects for each discipline.
All of our courses are constantly renewed along with their licenses, so you never have to worry about expired course credits.
EACCME®
All of our Musculoskeletal Ultrasound courses are also approved by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education EACCME® (along with the ASRT®). The EACCME® is an institution founded by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS®) in 1958 to represent the interests of specialist doctors at an international level. Each musculoskeletal ultrasound course has a key features tab that thoroughly explains the number of EACCME® credits offered (not to be confused with the ASRT® number of credits).
All the other courses that are not musculoskeletal ultrasound are not approved by the EACCME®. To find the musculoskeletal ultrasound courses go to the MSK Ultrasound CME Courses page to explore the individual courses and bundles that are approved by the EACCME®.
AMA PRA™
The AMA PRA Credit System indicates that a physician has engaged in continuing medical education (CME) activities that fulfill the criteria set by state medical boards, medical specialty societies, specialty boards, and other relevant organizations. The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of continuing medical education (CME) credit with the European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS®). Under the terms of this agreement, the AMA will convert CME credit for live and e-learning activities certified by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®), the accrediting arm of the UEMS, to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
All of our Musculoskeletal courses are approved by the EACCME® and the credits are convertible to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
AAVSB’s RACE®
The American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB®) approves Vet radiography courses through the Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) program to develop and unify quality standards for veterinary medical education programs. We are currently offering one veterinary course, Radiobiology and Radiation Protection for Veterinary Technicians, that is approved by AAVSB’s RACE® for 1 CE credit hour.

CREDENTIALS

ARRT®
The American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT®) is currently the largest organization offering medical imaging credentials in the world. All of our courses meet the CE reporting requirements of the ARRT® for state certification and registration.
ARDMS®
The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS®) exams and awards credential in sonography. The ASRT® is one of the organizations that meet the requirements for the ARDMS® Accepted Continuing Education Evaluation Model System (AACEEMS) checklist and provide accepted CMEs. Therefore, the ARDMS® accepts CME credits that are approved by the ASRT®.
All of our ultrasound courses offer CME credits that are accepted by the ARDMS®. If you would like to explore our ultrasound courses, check out our Ultrasound CME store to sign up for individual courses and bundles. The CME credits gained from our ultrasound courses also help maintain credentials for RDMS®, RDCS®, RCT® and RMSK®. Check each course’s key features tab to know more about the number of CME credits you may earn and what credentials you will be able to maintain.
Visit the Guide to ARDMS® Certification and Renewal to learn more about the credentials that are offered by the ARDMS® and their requirements (credentials such as RDMS®, RDCS®, RCT®, and RMSK®).
APCA®
The Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement™ (APCA™) is a part of the Inteleos™ family of Councils that includes the ARDMS® as well. The physician-centric council spun out of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS®). APCA® is dedicated to serving physicians and advanced care providers in their enduring commitment to continual learning and providing high-quality and compassionate patient care through certification.
All of our ultrasound courses offer CME credits that are accepted by the ARDMS® and hence accepted by APCA® as well. If you would like to explore our ultrasound courses, check out our Ultrasound CME store to sign up for individual courses and bundles. The CME credits gained from our ultrasound courses also help maintain credentials for RDMS®, RDCS®, RCT®, RMSK®, RMSKS®, and RPVI®. Check each course’s key features tab to know more about the number of CME credits you may earn and what credentials you will be able to maintain.
NMTCB®
The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB®) offers top-tier nuclear medicine certification for nuclear medicine technologists. The NMTCB® recognizes continuing education hours that are approved by the ASRT®; therefore, all of our courses are accepted by the NMTCB®.
ARMRIT®
The American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT®) offers a gold standard for MRI certification. The ARMRIT® accepts continuing education credits that are approved by the ASRT®, therefore all our MRI courses are accepted by the ARMRIT® for certification renewal. Visit our MRI CE credits page to learn more about individual courses and packages to earn ARMRIT®-accepted CE credits.
